The Making of “Diorama : WSS German Machine Gun Team” Part 3

Part 3 – Building the Figures

Basically the stance and the setup were troopers manning the lafayette, ready to brraaaatttttt braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttt the hell out of their enemies. 1 Gunner and 1 loader. Just in case if you are wondering, both figures are still highly posable. After all, they are action figures 😉

Completion – Putting it all together

It all comes together now, lotsa excitement in this stage, getting the gun in place, setting up the figures and placement of the diorama accessories before all the debris and dust kicks in!

Accessories for the dio to make the scene look war torn and real : spare tyre, wooden chair, wooden crates, wood planks, wires, weathered documents, dried leaves, ammo boxes, an apple, a wine bottle, used rag, lotsa used and unused brass shells and spent mags …

Once all the items are in place, using dirt and white glue mix, the core dirt/debris were laid. Once cured, some loose debris were laid randomly on the base, figures, accessories.

That’s it actually. Hope you enjoy this “making of”. We appreciate your comments and feedback.

By the way – we won second place for the diorama contest! Yay! many thanks to Henrik for organizing the contest and having us an opportunity to participate 🙂

Cheers!
