SS-Schutze
3. SS-Panzer-Division “Totenkopf” Warsaw August 1944
This is a custom figure inspired from picture references from Euro-Militaria’s book on Waffen-SS Uniforms: In Colour Photographs by Andrew Steven.
One of the item I wish to highlight here would be the helmet with foliage wiring. Took me a while to figure out how the wiring work – once achieved its very rewarding. The E-tool is also something I am very satisfied with. I improved the shovel by thinning the metal spade then reconstructed the carrier to be more narrow to fit in the shove. The shovel can still be removed from the carrier. Lastly it’s the headsculpt – one of Tony Barton’s masterpiece. The entire figure does look better with sculpt details of the lower neck. He also carries a MG42 Spare Barrel & Case.
To complete this figure I also constructed a display base.
