WW2 German Waffen SS
Strummann Machine Gunner, Eastern Front, 1943
This is a custom commission figure for a great friend down under!
This figure features how a typical Waffen SS Soldat would be :-
- Standard issue M43 Tunic and Pants
- Jack Boots
- Helmet with camouflage covers
- Field Gear – Bread Bag, Cook Pot, Canteen, Y-Strap and Belt, Bayonet & Shovel
- Machine Gunner’s Kit
- Weapons – MG34 and P36 Walther
- Awards and medals
Here are some interesting improvements I did for this figure :-
- Detailed Helmet Camouflage Covers – summer oak leaf pattern
- Repainted MG34 with added scratch built strap
- Improved MG Accessory Pouch
- Improved and detailed P38 holster
- Improved Uniform – Scratch built shoulder boards, overall weathered uniform
- Improved Jack boots (shape of boots – fitting on the calf area done by shrinking the upper boots with acetone!)
- Self created merit ribbon
- Repainted and weathered gears – MG case & Drum; Cook Pot, Shovel, Bayonet & Canteen
- Modified Body (slim) and repainted head sculpt
- Bendy hands with mittens
- Display base with a German Crest Plaque
